its like a brownred, not too red, not too brown.. but my blonde is coming through.
im going back to the salon a week after thanksgiving
but i wanted to but some red back in.
will glazes work?
or should i try dying it myself?
i dont want to look like Ariel from the little mermaid.
Dyed my hair red.. but its faded?
If your color is fading fast it could be the shampoo you are using ...try a shampoo that is made just for color treated hair ..there are even kinds that are made just for red hair. ..you will be surprised how much longer your color will last...It is very easy to dye your own hair ..just do a strand test so you can make sure it will be the color you want and make sure to work it through very good..that is the most important thing
Dyed my hair red.. but its faded?
reds just dont stay well, i recently did mine and within two weeks it was so faded out, i put a light brown in and it came out great, its brown but you can see a bit of a red highlight in it
Dyed my hair red.. but its faded?

Reds are tough, you have to be really careful to keep them from fading. You can try some of those shampoos/conditioners that are formulated for color treated hair, some even have a glaze in them that will keep the color fresher longer.
The best product I have found by far (and I have my hair colored a deep auburn) is pureology, and it's sold in salons. It's not cheap ($25 a bottle each for shampoo and conditioner) but it's worth it. My color doesn't fade as quickly, and my hair is literally in the best condition ever. It's great stuff, and worth every penny!
