In terms of women, there was a study recently done which took the same face and put her with brown, blond, and red hair and overall, brunette was most attractive to the men in the study.

That being said, I think it depends on the person. Some people look great as blonds and horrible as brunettes. Some brunettes should stay brunette and play up to their strengths. I don't think someone should go and get blond hair or red hair just because someone else finds it attractive. I think that you have to go with what looks best on your face.

In guys, I love either dark brown or black hair. Blonde and red aren't deal breakers, but I just love dark-haired men, especially if they have blue eyes.

In boys, dark hair, I never really have cared that much for red hair. For girls, I think brown is definitely the best. I also think blonde is okay. I don't care much for red-heads on girls.

a mixture of medium brown with red tones, i guess you'd call that auburn. but not fire red and not plain brown.
