Considering putting some red in my hair. Yes or no?

I'm really really light skinned. As a child I was almost platinum blonde; however, it has naturally turned into a dirty blonde / light brown color. I just recently got this crazy idea to put some red in my hair. Any opinions on this? Yes? No? Any other color options?

It would probably look good since your light skinned. You could always just highlight it with red if you dont want to do all your hair in red. You could always do a strawberry blonde also if you wanted. It always feels good to change up your style a bit. Makes you feel like a new woman. I say go for it.

My vote would be no. The only times I've seen people I know color their hair (especially red, green, or blue) it's looked terribly tacky. Sure, it may sound like a good idea, as you may love the color like it's the most important thing in your life; but that doesn't change the fact that it will probably not turn out at all how you wanted it to.

However, if you do decide to get it done, make sure that you visit a hair color specialist, and that they have a good reputation. If you decide to do it yourself, you may get a stain on your skin, have trouble washing your hair, and things like that. I wouldn't know from direct experience, but I'm just sharing my opinion.

if your talking about highlights i don't think so red highlights only look good with very dark hair. i would suggest blond highlights. but if your thinking about coloring it red go for it.

red is the best color ever to put in your hair because its so rare to see. it would look good. take a chance. and if you dont like it you can always dye it back. :)

Well...I wouldn't dye my hair at all because it takes forever to get out once you want your natural hair colour back, plus it's really damaging.

I don't think you should do it, if you put red in your hair, be advised that it will be hard to take it back out of your hair. Red always looks dull once you have had it for awhile also.

Try "Color Pulse" (Loreal i think) Its really easy, and washes out in a week or two! I've used it a lot and my hair hasn't really suffered. Hope this helps :]
