I am home-dying my hair dark copper red. What is the best way to do this?

Hi, I've been dying my own hair at home for a couple of years now, and I've decided to go a dark, deep kind of coppery pomogranate red. I was wondering what the best way to go about this would be. My hair is about medium length, very thick in texture, but stick straight with fine hairs. It's a medium brunette, my skin is very fair and I have hazel eyes. I've dyed my hair many diffrent shades but I've never gone red before, does anyone have any good suggestions of ways to go about this. I plan to home-dye my hair.

I am home-dying my hair dark copper red. What is the best way to do this?

first of all know that red colours always fade, red copper wont stay in your hair. the colour u see on the box wont look the same when u put it on your hair because you had many shades on it already. when colouring your hair start colouring where your hair is most resistant. colour it how they do in a salon...part hair into 4 section from ear to ear and from forhead to nape... start at the front section. have someone help you

You want to become a ginger? All you need now are green contact lenses and 10,000 freckles.

I am home-dying my hair dark copper red. What is the best way to do this?

Please, be careful and consider saving up for a trip to the salon.

I tried this once as a natural brunette. I used Natural Instincts. It turned my hair this pukey violet shade that was certainly not the dark copper I was aiming for.

I am home-dying my hair dark copper red. What is the best way to do this?

Im assuming your using nothing with 20 vol peroxide in it? Youll have to use a semi perm color if your going darker..Start from scalp, then to the shafts, pull the color thru to the ends last 10 min of processing. The reason you leave the ends out till the last, is so the the color doesnt grab right away and make the ends darker than the rest of your hair...

Red ("ginger") Hair. Do you get called names?

I was wondering how many of you out there get called names such as "ginger" or "carrot top" by some people who seem to find so called "ginger" hair hilarious, and like to make fun of people with it.

Red ("ginger") Hair. Do you get called names?

Only 2 % of the people in the world are red heads, and there will be no more natural red heads by the year 2100, so a "ginger" is a rare and wonderful find indeed !!

Red ("ginger") Hair. Do you get called names?

I don't have that colour hair, but I think it's really cool. I know some people though who get called 'carrot top' or 'red head' stuff like that.

Red ("ginger") Hair. Do you get called names?

i dyed my hair red once got called bozos sister, carrot top but i let it go through one ear and out the other. red hair is more in style now days any ways.

Red ("ginger") Hair. Do you get called names?

i don get called name but i call names but ur only a ginger in ur fce is filled with freckeles and red hair.

lol but red hair is nice only if u do someething with it.

Red ("ginger") Hair. Do you get called names?

I used to be called names... until I started beating people up for it....

Red ("ginger") Hair. Do you get called names?

im called carrot tops but i dont find it mean at all

i just think of it thank god i have red hair cause not alot of others do

Red ("ginger") Hair. Do you get called names?

My hair is bright Lucille Ball orange red as is my girlfreinds

and my boyfriends.

Never had much problem with name calling(Well, the Wendys thing...).

I get hit upon alot for dates though...

I'm Asian, have black hair with a little red in it from last time. I want to either dye or high

I just tried Funky Cherry Loreal Pulse, and that didn't work at all. Last time I think I used ruby Rush Loreal Feria, that worked but a bit too red for me. What's a good color I can use, doesn't have to be from Loreal can be from any brand, but I don't have a lot of money to spend on it?

I think I want reddish highlights, but more importantly I want to know what colors will actually show on my hair. I don't think I want to bleach my hair, last time with Feria I didn't and it showed.

I'm Asian, have black hair with a little red in it from last time. I want to either dye or highlight my hair..

My sister's hair is jet black and she uses the feria for red streaks as well. The problem, in my opinion, is that the color fades over time and she's left with orange streaks instead of red. I think with hair as dark as yours, you should try to avoid permanent haircolor all together if you want to do it yourself. Try the color mousses that wash out over so many shampoos...they won't do any damage to your hair that you'll regret later. You'll need one with very vibrant color for darkest brunettes (I know how exasperating it can be; my hair is brown-black and very few colors will even show up in it).

My advice is to stick with the temporary while you're budget conscious. When you have plenty of money to blow, go to the hairdresser and let them do it professionally and they'll make sure the color stays true for a much longer time. Good luck!

My hair is orange red from the bleach I bought toner will it make my hair turn to a light blond?

My hair is half blonde and half red orange.Only my roots turned blond blond. My hair was a pitch black.Should I use toner to take it out?

My hair is orange red from the bleach I bought toner will it make my hair turn to a light blond?

A toner really only works well if your hair is bleached very light. It sounds like your hair is not light enough.

You can either lighten it more, which may totally damage your hair or dye it a darker color that will help cover the reddish color. Use a color with ash as it helps tone down brassy red. I am going by my own experiences

Good Luck!

My hair is orange red from the bleach I bought toner will it make my hair turn to a light blond?

Your hair obviously has a red base to it, so you probably won't be able to completeley bleach it all out. The idea is to bleach it untill you get it close to blonde, then use a toner (ash blonde colour), which will cover the orange and give you the desired effect.

My hair is orange red from the bleach I bought toner will it make my hair turn to a light blond?

I would go to a salon and get it fixed. It's called color correction. I had a similar problem trying to go from a dark brown to a dark blonde color and my roots turned out such a different color. I went to a salon and they used bleach then a toner and i got a nice dark blonde and light blonde highlighting job done. Search around and go to a salon that you think you can trust because it really is worth the money to get a dark to light coloring job done at a salon instead of at home.

My hair is orange red from the bleach I bought toner will it make my hair turn to a light blond?

I have just been through the same thing, i have gotten my hair light from jet black, i recommend you colour over the orange tones with a brown, wait a few weeks and then have all over highlights done, build the blonde gradually, every few weeks re-highlight your hair, it took 3 months for me to achieve light hair from very black. Black to blonde is not something that (without hair extensions due to breakage and hair loss through continual bleaching) can be done over night. Do it gradually and build it up.

What is the best hair dye in stores for making my hair a lighter red?

I used Loreal 4r to make my hair a darker red, but I am now

trying to lighten my hair back to it's original light red. I had a

golden red color, a little like strawberry blond. Can anyone

tell me which dye would best do this without making my hair

orange or copper? I tried a lighter Loreal but it made my hair

look like it been washed by a penny!!! Please help!

What is the best hair dye in stores for making my hair a lighter red?

Oooh no! I see someone suggested Feria, don't do it! Feria is high in sulfates which completely trashes your hair-- even more so for red tints since red is quicker to wash out of your hair. I highly suggest Garnier Fruitese! It comes with a little packet of fruity oil essence stuff that you add to the dye mix. I love it! Huge selection of colors, too.

What is the best hair dye in stores for making my hair a lighter red?

Try a prelightner for approx 5 min then wash it off.

What is the best hair dye in stores for making my hair a lighter red?

Feria always worked for my friend. She dyes it red all the time and it always looks great!

What is the best hair dye in stores for making my hair a lighter red?

Herbal Essence or Garnier Fructis works really good. You just have to make sure that is has ammonia in it. Get a light golden red, or a strawberry blonde. Or, my mom uses Color Expert in red, it has highlights and all. But it's like $20. It's worth it......

What is the best hair dye in stores for making my hair a lighter red?

ther is a 1 800 number on the back of the box with stylists on call that are willing to help you, they can tell you what to do much better , it is hard for me to say without actually seeing your hair's color. They may even offer you a refund, Remember if your hair is not clean when you apply a dye your desired color may be altered. That means no oils creams hair sprays leave-ins nothing.

What is the best hair dye in stores for making my hair a lighter red?

My family uses ketchup.

How do I stop my hair from turning red (reddish tint) from using relaxers?

Okay, I'm guilty! I over relax my hair. It's really course and no relaxer is a match against it. Anyhoo, this causes my hair to have a reddish tint to it that I don't like to begin with, and what's worse is that this reddish tint doesn't even look natual. So what can I do, or use that'll retain my hair's orginal color when over relaxing? (And I don't want to dye my hair back to its natual color either b/c that process is messy... etc. Also, I've tried all kinds of different relaxers to no avail. And if I want to retain the texture of it, the way I like, then I find I have to frequently relax my hair, and like I said... that's why my hair has that reddish tint.) Pls help w/some suggestions on how to "get the red out", or better yet... how to prevent it in the first place.

How do I stop my hair from turning red (reddish tint) from using relaxers?

shave your head

How do I stop my hair from turning red (reddish tint) from using relaxers?

It seems like you have a red undertone..

you cant get rid of those..

all you can do is use a GREEN TONER....

green will cancel out the red!

good luck!

and keep your hair moisturized!

How do I stop my hair from turning red (reddish tint) from using relaxers?

by accepting your natural beauty

How do I stop my hair from turning red (reddish tint) from using relaxers?

Colour It! =)

How do I stop my hair from turning red (reddish tint) from using relaxers?

Relaxers can be VERY harsh. What is happening is that it is either lightening your natural color due to over-processing, or it is stripping out old hair color you have on your hair.

You could use a semi-perm color to tone it back to a more natural color.

How do I stop my hair from turning red (reddish tint) from using relaxers?

Prevention: stop overrelaxing your hair, it's gonna cause your hair to break off because it's gonna be dry %26amp; damaging. Your hair does not have to be coarse; deep condition your hair once a week to improve it's texture. Also, your hair always turns color when you have a relaxer. My hair is naturally soft black with brown %26amp; red undertones, when I relaxed my hair it turned brown with red highlights.

get the red out: your hair probably has red undertones, you say it doesn't look natural but that's probably due to the overprocessing. if you relaxed your hair properly you would probably just get natural looking red highlights. maybe you should get a toner to tone the red down, but that would probably dry your hair out even more.

Any ideas on how to color my hair light blonde with getting ready of the gold %26amp; red?

If your hair grabs onto, red %26amp; gold when colored.. any idea how to color your hair a really light blonde?

I had the same problem and today I went to a beauty school and they bleached it out and put a toner on it in a blonde shade. Last time I went they tried to get the red and gold out without the bleach but it did not come out just looked somewhat better but today it looks good so I think bleaching is only way to go as it was the only thing I was told I could do.

If your hair grabs onto, red %26amp; gold when colored.. any idea how to color your hair a really light blonde?

Go to a salon and get it bleached. But I'm not sure if you can only get parts bleached or not (If that's what you're talking about)

Blonde hair blue eyes red ford cadillac?

Does anyone know the name of this song? I only know a bit of the lyrics and I'm not sure if they are right.

"Blonde hair blue eyes red ford cadillac"

It's been on the radio a few times recently. If you know the actual words or the name, please let me know!!

Blonde hair blue eyes red ford cadillac?

i'm ashleys cousin its "Time Bomb" by rancid off the cd "Out Come The Wolves"plz put mine as best

Blonde hair blue eyes red ford cadillac?

I've tried finding the song for you, but haven't been able to.

I think the problem is that the lyrics don't make sense. Your blue-eyed blonde is riding in a red ford cadillac?

not a red ford?

not a cadillac?

But a red FORD CADILLAC?

I'm sorry, but that doesn't work.

What else can we try?

Blonde hair blue eyes red ford cadillac?

Is it a country song? Because there is a song by John Michael Montgomery called Sold:

Well I went down to the Grundy County auction

Where I saw somthin' I just had to have

My mind told me I should proceed with caution

But my heart said go ahead make a bid on that

And i said

Hey pretty lady won't you give me a sign

I'd give anything to make you mine all mine

I'll do your biddin' and be at your becken call

Yeah I've never seen anyone lookin' so fine

Man I gotta have her

She's a one-of-a-kind

I'm goin' once, goin' twice

I'm sold to the lady in the second row

She's an eight, she's a nine, she's a ten I know

She's got ruby red lips blonde hair blue eyes

An' I'm about to bid my heart good-bye

Well the auctioneer was goin' about a mile a minute

He was takin' bids and callin' them out loud

And I guess I was really gettin' in it

Cuz I just shouted out above the crowd

And I said

Hey pretty lady won't you give me a sign

I'd give anything to make you mine all mine

I'll do your biddin' and be at your becken call

Yeah I've never seen anyone lookin' so fine

Man I gotta have her

She's a one-of-a-kind

I'm goin' once, goin' twice

I'm sold to the lady in the long black dress

Well she won my heart it was no contest

With her ruby red lips blonde hair blue eyes

An' I'm about to bid my heart good-bye

Yeah we found love on the auction block

And I hauled her heart away

Now we still love to laugh about

the way we met that day

When I said

Hey pretty lady won't you give me a sign

I'd give anything to make you mine all mine

I'll do your biddin' and be at your becken call

Yeah I've never seen anyone lookin' so fine

Man I gotta have her

She's a one-of-a-kind

I'm goin' once, goin' twice

I'm sold to the lady in the second row

She's an eight, she's a nine, she's a ten i know

Used henna on my hair and has turned it a medium to med-light red how do i fix this??

I used Red sunset by Colora, its a powdered henna and i have used this color before but when i had light to medium brown hair so it turned out great. Maybe around the winter time i but Mahogany henna creme in my hair and it still hadnt come out so i wanted to lighten the color of my hair a bit but its more on the red side then what i would have liked so i had bought another box of henna this time Gold brown thinking this might tone down the red and give me more of a light brown with just a red highlight.

So the question is would the gold brown turn my hair even more red or will it give me the more light brown to medium brown i would like for my hair?

Used henna on my hair and has turned it a medium to med-light red how do i fix this??

Hi there!

Well first I would rather recommend that you use 100% natural products rather then these blends you have been using as you will be able to measure out exactly what you want to achieve and get a better color that you want. All these pre-mixed boxed of henna powders and colors are all blends of henna with other ingredients so it's hard to tell what color you will get.

First make sure you always use body art quality henna powder. Henna for sure will make your hair red as in the first picture you showed us of that color. That is normal. For a lighter shade you will need cassia obovata (sometimes called neutral henna) and add some honey as that is a natural hair lightener.

Also visit www.longhaircommunity.com and go read the henna articles and go to the henna thread. It is amazing! You will be really happy.

Some of the girls there use some henna, some cassia and make a nice lighter color with some honey as well.

I hope this helps. Feel free to PM if you'd like

Used henna on my hair and has turned it a medium to med-light red how do i fix this??

it will make your hair redder...the only color that comes from real natural henna is red, the more henna you put on your hair the redder it will become because it will enhance the henna that is already on your hair

Used henna on my hair and has turned it a medium to med-light red how do i fix this??

just remember that dye does not lift dye so you may have to bleach to left the color and then buy a color that on the side where you see this is your hair color and this is your color after wards....look at that no matter what color you pick and make sure it can be used by light brown or darker hair so that it will tone down the red

How should I color my hair black and bright red?

I have had this done to my hair, black on bottom bright red on top. I had to have the top of my hair basically bleached out with a bleaching kit from Sally Beauty Supply and then I added Manic Panic dye to the top(I don't rememeber the odd name for its red) I also dyed the bottom extra black. it looked great , I recommend getting special shampoo and using a weekly glosser to keep it bright.

How should I color my hair black and bright red?

Have read underneath ur fringe so its got peek-a-boo bits, and red underneath with panels showing through. Don't have to many big chunks of red on top, have bits showing trough here and there. Have fun and good luck!

Black, Red and Electric Blue hair?

I currently have Black hair and I'm finding it very boring so I was wondering how would I look with blue at the bottom of my hair (like the under layers) then have some black hair and then red but still on the under layers of my hair because I dont want the teachers killing me

Black, Red and Electric Blue hair?

Personally, I think that would look cool. I would check your schools dress code first though. That way your teachers won't get mad. If you do it, you should post a pic.

Black, Red and Electric Blue hair?

don't do red do the electric blue

red is gross color when its not natrual i just don't like how it looks

electric blue would look pretty especially since you have black hair

There is way too much red and gold tones in my dyed hair!!!?

I went to a salon to get the brass and gold out of my natural blonde hair, the stylist put a clear tone and then put a strawberry -based color tone on my hair, and it turned my hair a brown- gold- red- maroon color, i didnt want any of those colors in my hair, i just wanted it to stay blonde and get rid of the brass and the gold. How can i get it to an ash color, without using another hair dye to cover it up???

There is way too much red and gold tones in my dyed hair!!!?

You could try putting a toner on it but it may not give you exactly the color you want, it will just tone down what she did. I think you are probably going to have to dye it again. Maybe you could try doing it yourself, go to Sallys beauty supply and explain to them what you want and they will help you pick out what you need and tell you how to do it. Its really easy and ALOT cheaper, Im always more satisfied when I do my hair myself!!

I want to dye my hair a subtle red colour, not full red, something like henna red, what can i use?

i would idealy like a red that u can tell is red particularly in sunlight but also a bit in non sunlight, i went red before but it made me look too pale so dont want a intense red, at the moment my hair is meant to be chestnut but it looks more like boring dark browm, if any one knows any colours i could use please comment with name of colour, brand and if it has a number like say red 32 by loreal or sumthing i dont know.

I want to dye my hair a subtle red colour, not full red, something like henna red, what can i use?

l'oreal make a color called chocolate cherry in their feria line it is a dark brown with red highlights

good luck

I want to dye my hair a subtle red colour, not full red, something like henna red, what can i use?

you can actually get real henna in the shop lush to dye your hair!! very natural too!

I want to dye my hair a subtle red colour, not full red, something like henna red, what can i use?

If you want to use henna, be sure to use only safe and natural 100% pure henna. This will give brown hair a nice red, especially in the sun.http://www.hennacaravan.com/shop/hair.ht...

If henna is labeled as coming in different colors it is due to chemicals or other things in the product.

Henna only comes in one color, red/brown and is safe to use.

Watch out for black henna, it is often PPD , and chemical that is dangerous to put on the skin and can result in scarring and blistering.

I want to dye my hair a subtle red colour, not full red, something like henna red, what can i use?

NOOO jus go with red me mate had it an it looked amazin she really suited it atfirst try a wash out one so u no if you really want go that colour x

Dye Medium Brown Hair Blue And Red Without Using Bleach?

Well, ive never dyed my hair ever or even semi-permanent, i was wondering if i could dye my hair like a blue color with red on the bottom without using bleach, because i heard bleach ruins your hair and yeah by the way i have medium brown hair (medium dark brown hair). But anyways i was wondering if anyone could give me a brand or any type of red or blue color (vibrant color) for my hair?

Dye Medium Brown Hair Blue And Red Without Using Bleach?

well it wont really come out right unless u use bleach and im not really sure were to get those colors but u should use bleach cuz if u shampoo and take care of ur hair after u've dyed it and u used bleach ur hair should be fine.

Dye Medium Brown Hair Blue And Red Without Using Bleach?

There is this stuff... you can buy it at Sally's Beauty Supply, its called Maniac Panic. it comes in tons of colors pink, yellow, green, red, blue... LOTS! It wont damage your hair because the pigment just sits on top of your natural color.

Think about this... You draw a line with a light brown crayon (the color of your hair) and then take a blue crayon and color right on top of it... that's the kind of result you will get. to get vibrant like you are talking about the only way is to bleach it first. Loreal does have some very very bright reds (think fire engine) that does that in one step. Its professional color its called Maji.contrast. This should be done by a professional

If i have brunette hair and i get red ends will it look good?

I have brunette hair with some highlights would red ends look good?

Make it like a red brown not like BRIGHT TOMATO RED or it would look punky.

If i have brunette hair and i get red ends will it look good?

I don't think that would look cute.I think having brunette hair with blonde and red highlights would look cute though some girls at my school have it like that and it looks soooooooo cute! =D Or try dyeing underneath red!

If i have brunette hair and i get red ends will it look good?

Yeah. Sounds cute.

If i have brunette hair and i get red ends will it look good?

no offense but I think it would look like a botched home dye job.

If i have brunette hair and i get red ends will it look good?

It depends on what color red it is and what red gose with you

If i have brunette hair and i get red ends will it look good?

NO WAY! you could add some "bronze" high-lights with your "im guessing blonde highlights"??? but no way do red!!

Do i need a certain skin tone to dye my hair red?

Is there a non permanent way to die extremely light blonde hair red nonpermanently?

To do it at home only, so that the red will not remain permanently? is it possible

Is there a non permanent way to die extremely light blonde hair red nonpermanently?

Really light blonde hair tends to hold pigment longer than any other hair color. Red is the hardest color to get out of your hair. If your hair is dry or damaged it will make it last even longer!!Even if you use temporary or semi-permanent hair color, you may have some pigment left in the hair after the time period that is stated on the box. I bleached my hair a few years ago and decided that I wanted to go red after a few months, BOY was that a mistake! I used something that was supposed to last up to 30 washes and my hair started to turn PINK!!!

Is there a non permanent way to die extremely light blonde hair red nonpermanently?

I would be careful with temporary hair dyes, as these can often stain blonde hair permantly with not very nice tones.

I think your best bet would be getting some coloured hair spray, or brush in colour (hair mascara) to temporarily change your hair to red, just to avoid the risk of losing your normal hair colour

Is there a non permanent way to die extremely light blonde hair red nonpermanently?

well u can try spray on dye but it will prolly fade to orange just sayin and ull have to bleach it so if this is just for a one time thing like a party i suggest wearing a wig

Is there a non permanent way to die extremely light blonde hair red nonpermanently?

yes, go to Sally's Beauty Supply and they have just about everything you need to turn your hair totally different color and it looks so good...

Is there a non permanent way to die extremely light blonde hair red nonpermanently?

Yeah of course just buy a rinse which unusually comes out between 6-8 shampoos

Bleaching Black hair then dyeing red question?

I have jet black hair, I want to bleach some of it as in streaks and then dye those streaks red. What can I do to reduce damage %26amp; get the streaks blonde not orange so I can dye them bright red after?

What is the best way to do this? If I want to dye my hair black in the future and get rid of the streaks will the black stay or fade?

Bleaching Black hair then dyeing red question?

They sell kits that bleach %26amp; highlight in one step. I have used them and found that they work very well. Also, if you are bleaching and then dying it is not as important that your hair bleach to a white color- the red will cover any orangey tones. I like Manic Panic from Sally Beauty Supply (they have bleaching kits and dye). When you try to cover the streaks use a Semi-Permanent black (again, you can use Manic Panic) to cover the red...but as it washes out the red will show through. Good Luck!

Bleaching Black hair then dyeing red question?

dawg, all you need is temporary hair dye!

Bleaching Black hair then dyeing red question?

it's a process that you'll have to keep doing for a couple of weeks, if you really wanna try to reduce damage. bleach it wait 5 days, do it again...

Bleaching Black hair then dyeing red question?

If you bleach your black hair and then go red, you will certainly sustain some damage, but just doing a few streaks will help lessen the overall damage. It doesn't matter if the blonde goes orange because you're dying it red anyway.

You should try 'Fudge' if you can get it because you don't have to bleach first. It gives a really vibrant red colour. You should be able to get it at a good chemist (drugstore).

Also when you dye it black again your highlights will fade through the black after a few weeks. You will need to keep up the black dyes until your hair grows out. I've done it a few times. Have fun mixing it up!

Bleaching Black hair then dyeing red question?

the best way is to do it in stages - I had my color stripped. I think the stylist used the 40 developer. My hair was white and I'm a Af Am. I was expecting it to turn out the same color as my skin. then she dyed it auburn. It was the color straight from the bottle. i actually didn't want mine that bright. I ended up rinsing a cognac color over it to tone it down. anyway my hair was really damaged afterwards. I had to get a couple of inches cut off . I started getting protein and deep conditioning treatments and I was fine. But if you have fragile hair don't use the 40 strength. i think my hair is pretty strong and I still had damage. however for what you want you may just have to go with the 40 and deep condition regularly

Bleaching Black hair then dyeing red question?

Ok, ..

If your wanting RED streaks, bleaching jet black hair to blond then to Red, "unprofessionally" is a tad risky...The product to do so, over the counter, can totally FRY not only your hair, but your scalp, and burn!!! My suggestion is this. when you take a hair coloring solution, such as Clairol or any "name that's been around a long time" product, when you go to a lighter shade on black hair, it will turn it red! Now, depending on the red your wanting.....You can look at all the different Red's they have and there are some pretty brassy red's to choose from..(not Orange)...Instead of using a harsh bleaching product, then coloring on top of that. You can take a "hair coloring" product, and streak it on your hair. If you screw up, THAT can be re colored the next day without problems. Clairol is about $3.00 a box and has been around longer then I can remember.....If your wanting "Crayon Red", like you see some people have, more then likely they have had that professionally done......

Bleaching Black hair then dyeing red question?

im keeping this question an eye coz im tinking of bleaching my black hair then dye copper red....

Bleaching Black hair then dyeing red question?

OK so you want to bleach your hair

(if you have a Sally's beauty store go there and ask)

any why bleach it then Waite a few days so it can heal some

then get a good Strong red and die it after that use gentle shampoos (i think theres color protective shampoo)

then i know this sounds weird but vinegar will help lock in the color just poor some in and rinse it out and i think that will do it

Bleaching Black hair then dyeing red question?

Hey I'm doing the same thing so this is what I know:

okay you want to ask the person at the store to tell you what kind of bleach you want to use (there are a lot of different kinds for different hairtypes)

wait like 3 or 4 days (after) bleaching your hair before dieing it cause you want to condition really well to prevent damage.

i dont know what else you really need to know but if you have anymore questions email me and i will try to answer them =)

i'm getting good with hair cause i'v died mine like 12 or 13 times in the past 2 years!

I'm addicted =)

Bleaching Black hair then dyeing red question?

i did this EXACt same thign with my friend's hair! And after bleaching it make sure that you leave in some condishiner to keep you hair from damageing it!

But also what you can do instead of bleaching your hair you can put in REALLY blonde hair die (permadent) or white. than do what the directions say for that. Than wait a day or 2. and put a ur red hair die and do that!

if you have anymore questions just eamil me!

Should I dye my hair a shade of black or red?

See, I have a chestnut colored hair and I want my natural color to be on top but have a different color underneath. I want it to stand out but not be tacky. So should I dye my hair a shade of red or black?

Red.

Should I dye my hair a shade of black or red?

copper brown!

Should I dye my hair a shade of black or red?

with chestnut black would make more sense, red might just make it clash, and also red hair is hard to maintain and will turn orange, and well orange and chestnut definitely don't mix!

black would look really cute.

my hair is black, and i have blonde and red undertones. it looks really good

Should I dye my hair a shade of black or red?

red, black would look just too icky

Should I dye my hair a shade of black or red?

Black would be going deep and red is sorta spunky.....it depends on your personality and how you wanna express the look. If it were me I'd go for black only because of my skin tone and sometimes that's just the mood I'm in. It's not necessarily depressing but bold. Red would show that you don't care what people think (but if you go with red definitely make sure it's the right shade so it doesn't come off as tacky).

Should I dye my hair a shade of black or red?

Black because red is too tacky and I saw your hair with black and it looks great!!!

Should I dye my hair a shade of black or red?

Well I have to tell you a storey of dyeing hair black. My daughter was a natural chestnut brown ,so she dyed her hair black and it looked really good she wore it black for about three years. Well just last week she decided that she didn't want black hair any more so we went to the hair dresser and my daughter wanted to go back to chestnut brown with some blond streaks. The hair dresser said that she would be unable to do that so to make a long storey short the hair dresser said that she would be able to do a dark drown ,so the hair dresser put bleach on her hair and spent three hours on my daughters hair and i spent one hundred and fifteen bucks only to be pissed off all said and done my daughter still had the black , red and brown (Not bad ) but you could see hunks in all directions it look like (.....) so just think before you do your hair black I think she would have been better off letting it grow out or just keeping it black. Hope this has helped you.

*Go for it then. You can tell them it's school spirit.

Black, Red and Electric Blue hair?

don't do red do the electric blue

red is gross color when its not natrual i just don't like how it looks

electric blue would look pretty especially since you have black hair

When i dye my hair it always turns red?

i use to spend tons to get my hair colored but now have 3 expensive kids so i so myself and no matter what clor i use or brand it always has red tint to it can anyone help i used 103b lorel today and still red tint please help me i`m brike and need help

When i dye my hair it always turns red?

You have to remember that when you color your hair that the first thing you need to do is figure out what the naturl pigment is in your hair color. Yours is a red so if you look on the color wheel the color to take that out and neutralize it is green. You need to get a color with an ash to it. I do NOT recommend using to high of a lift ( the numer on the box is its lift) as ash colors can have a tendancy of going to a greyish hue.. I would look for something with an ash or a A on the box. Also if you have a Sally's Beauty Supply where you are at the y are VERY helpfull with picking the right color for you.

Good luck and remember to stop this problem in the future do a strand test on the back of your hair by your neck line to see the final result. It is time consuming but will stop this agravation in the future!

When i dye my hair it always turns red?

i do hair in southern georgia. around macon. if you ever get down to this area you can email me at barbarakaye2005@yahoo.com and maybe we can get together. sallys is really good about helping people that have had a color mistake! good luck! Report It

When i dye my hair it always turns red?

Hair dye picks up natural highlights in your hair. The peroxcide in the dye also causes so red or orange colors.

I use Feria......I actually pick the dark colors with the red or burgendy tints to them and they look great!!!

When i dye my hair it always turns red?

well from what i have heard...you wont get rid of the red, once it's there it is there. I have colored my hair brown now for the exact same reason. I asked a salon to help. but a color stirp of about $300.00 MIGHT help. Other than that . i had the options of...dark color...or chop it all off.

When i dye my hair it always turns red?

It does that because of so much bleach and color in your hair.. sadly, there's really no way to get rid of the red tint except for letting your hair grow out and starting over. You're hair needs to go back to normal. To fix your hair, just use regular hair color, no bleach, and wait for it to grow out.

How do I get the red out of my hair?

Ok so I have a tendency of dying my hair a lot. Light or dark. I had dark brown hair and i just dyed it this really bright red color but since my roots were grown out, only the roots of my hair are bright red and the bottom is like this nasty reddish brown color, it looks retarded. does n e one have any suggestions on how I should get it out. I want light brown hair with blonde highlights. If i bleach it, it will turn orange because i have tried bleaching my hair several times and it always turns around especially if its red now. I have also tried the hair color stripping kit from sally beauty supply and it didn't really work that well when I had dark brown hair unless anyone knows a better product to use that you know will work. Will peroxide bleach my hair better than actual hair bleach? I'm desperate please help me, i feel so ugly with this hair color. please help me, please!!!!

How do I get the red out of my hair?

Your hair is probably so stripped and traumatized by now that the only answer is to go to a salon and have it done professionally. It's more expensive, but to me it's definitely worth the extra money to have healthy hair.

How do I get the red out of my hair?

Tell me the product lines you used for the coloring.

How do I get the red out of my hair?

wash it

How do I get the red out of my hair?

Get a buzz cut. One of the only ways, with out damaging your heard or hair. Because the chemicals are just not natural.

How do I get the red out of my hair?

when you dye your hair and whant that brassy red out always go for like ash brown.the ash dont make it so brassy

How do I get the red out of my hair?

You should probably just go to a GOOD hairdresser in the town where you live (inexperienced ones will mess it up) and have them use a color remover on your hair. If you are intent on doing it at home then I would suggest that you buy a hair stripping shampoo similar to the types that you use when you've got clorine in your hair. That should help get it out. Since I myself have never used one, I'm not really familiar with the brands. Whether it works or not will depend on the color you died it and your natural hair color.

Dying hair from Blackish red to Pink?

I have naturally black hair but recently dyed it red (it's not a reddish black, but pure red under light; wierd) and want to die it a brightesh pink (permanent or semi-permanent) and was wondering if anybody knew if the pink would take on my hair as it's really dark and coloured? and also if anybody has any tips/makes i'd really appreciate it.

Dying hair from Blackish red to Pink?

You might be better off dying your hair back to black, or something closer to your natural color, leaving it alone for two weeks or so, and then using a permanent hair color like Loreal Paris Colour Rays. I have dark brown hair, and although I had never colored it before, their fuscia showed up really well. I don't know what would happen if you just tried to dye it over the reddish color. It would probably be incredibly odd. I don't know any semi-permanent pink dyes... Hope that helped!

Dying hair from Blackish red to Pink?

eww.

Dying hair from Blackish red to Pink?

well..mmm.. frankly speaking the hair color that suits most humans is the color they are born with. Men with olive or brown tan skins have natural black hair %26amp; it suits them ; so does the blonde haired northern europeans..

ofcourse there are exceptions:- like black hair suited elvis more than his natural blonde hair ;)

but it is fine as long as you do some natural hair color like blonde, brown, black etc etc..even a tinge of red wont hurt.. but please dont try unnatural shades like pink or green..it looks horrible..

trust me ;)

Dying hair from Blackish red to Pink?

Well, I say go for it! But definitely semi-permanent, just in case. I don't think it's good to go over the red, it may just come out darker pink/red. I agree that dying it to (lighter) brown and then waiting a few weeks and then dying it pink. HOWEVER! Highlights would look much better in pink over black - just a suggestion...Since you're already trying out pink ;)

Pictures of red/blonde highlights on light brown hair, and help too please?

I want to get highlights. At first I was sure I wanted blonde.I have light brown hair, and preferably would get shades from even lighter brown to blonde so it looks natural.Best way to do this, and any good pics?

Why does my hair have a orangish red tint?

i have naturally dark brown hair. but ever since i died it it has a red orangish tint to it and it always comes back within a month when i dye it to try to get rid of it?? it looks disgusting

Why does my hair have a orangish red tint?

if ur dying it urself itz bc the dye is being faded by the sun and when u wash ur hair..i have the same problem..get ur hair dyed professionallly...the boxes lie the color does fade

Why does my hair have a orangish red tint?

what color did you dye it? mesage me back and ill tell you why its red and how to fix it

Why does my hair have a orangish red tint?

I would go with a different color or ask your hair stylist about it.

Why does my hair have a orangish red tint?

When you have dark brown hair your own undertyones of your hair are red.Whenever you color your hair you should use an ash base. The ash cancels the red. If you are trying to color it back dark after you have lightened it then you should use a filler which will help your hair take full pigment of the color you want to achieve. A filler is just a color in between what you have now and the color you would like,so after you use the filler then you can again put the color you want on the hair and this should work out just fine.

Why does my hair have a orangish red tint?

LIke you said yourself "ever since I died". Consult the allmighty, see if you qualify for reincarnation into someone who has similar skin you had in this last life.

Why does my hair have a orangish red tint?

I am a colorist and I am here to help.

Whatever color you used apparently had a red or orange base. What that means is........ color is made by having a base color and then a true color. The base or background color promotes depth and the over all tonal color. When we see color that has gone wrong it is usually because someone paid no attention to the base color. What you are going to want to do is, 1 go to a salon and have them tone it they should know what they are doing, 2 if your doing it yourself, you want to find a color with the word ASH in it. Ash is a green base now don't get scared we use green to make red go away. You have to be careful though and I always recommend having a professional do it. But if you are going to do it alone, stick to the same color level ( it should say something to the color level on the box (shudder) that you used originally). Use a color that matches what you have but get it in an ash. E.g. if you used a medium golden blonde then you want to apply a medium ash blonde to rid yourself of the orange tones. Good luck and again my first advise is for you to go to a salon with a colorist on staff and get it done perfect the first time save time money and you freaking out.

Why does my hair have a orangish red tint?

Ok, this could be from a number of things. First, your shampoo may have a high ph level. A lot of shampoos out there could be used as stripping shampoos in a salon. Second, the base color of your tint should be blue. Blue is the opposite of orange/brassy. The blue base will naturalize the orange. You can also by Blue tint additive.

If the color looks good when you finish, then it has to be something you are doing after the tint. You may be lacking in nutrition causing your hair to be very porous. If you are not taking a molty vitamin, you mite want to try that as well.

Why does my hair have a orangish red tint?

haha well thats happens ALL the time to everyone! u8 jsut have to leave ur hair alone for awhile or go to a perfesionall

Why does my hair have a orangish red tint?

If you use a demi permenent color that might work better for you.

A question for any lady who has dyed her naturally dark blonde/light brown hair red...?

Were you happy with the results?I have green eyes, very pale skin...and am looking for a change.

Thanks.

A question for any lady who has dyed her naturally dark blonde/light brown hair red...?

I'm a natural blonde, I've found that I have to have red tones to my hair when I dye it darker or I look washed out. Red suits me well as I have very pale skin and it does add a nice warmth to my skin.

You could try using a site like http://www.ivillage.co.uk/beauty/makeove... to upload a picture of yourself and try the haircolour on you to see how it might look.

A question for any lady who has dyed her naturally dark blonde/light brown hair red...?

I do hair if you have pale skin with green eyes. It will look great on you! Keep in mind though if you every want to go back to your natural its going to be very hard! Also cost$

A question for any lady who has dyed her naturally dark blonde/light brown hair red...?

I did. I changed from blonde/dark blonde to an auburn color. I have natural reds in my hair anyway, so I use more of a golden brown color and it comes out an auburn color. I am happy with it. You would probably look great with an auburn color too with the green eyes. When and if you change, make sure to check your make-up. You may have to adjust the color tones.

A question for any lady who has dyed her naturally dark blonde/light brown hair red...?

That'll look good. Just make sure that you pick the right shade and also keep in mind that you may have to "fill" your hair first with some sort of base color depending on the shade you choose.

A question for any lady who has dyed her naturally dark blonde/light brown hair red...?

Depends what sort of red you chose if u chose a plum red it will look good honestly! But if you chose the wrong red you could end up looking like a clown or a traffic light! So beware you can always have it dyed back remember!

A question for any lady who has dyed her naturally dark blonde/light brown hair red...?

I dyed my dardk blond hair red. I mean BRIGHT apple red. I have very very white skin and I thought it looked pretty cool. I was happy with it. It would be hard to tell what it would look like you if I can't see a picture. You are lucky you have green eyes. I wish I did.

A question for any lady who has dyed her naturally dark blonde/light brown hair red...?

sunshine you have to be really careful changing your hair colour dramatically like that....i have green eyes, pale but rosey complexion and ive got my hair dyed red, i'm natually dark brown....i have to say it looks great, but going from blonde to red is a whole different thing.....please, if youve got the money get it done at the hairdressers, if you havnt got the money then please go to the hairdressers for advice about the shade that will suit you......people are either 'warm' or 'cool' in there colouring, if your warm and you put a cold shade on your hair it looks awful, if your cool and put a warm shade on your hair that looks just as wrong....so you see there is a lot more to this than meets the eye.....good luck with it all x

Should I use a permanent creme color or a demi-permanent color? I'm dying my hair red and I wil

it. I just don't know. If I get tired of the color all I have to do it just let it fade with the demi- permanent one and well with the permanent one I'm stuck till it grows out. What should I do?

Should I use a permanent creme color or a demi-permanent color? I'm dying my hair red and I will be bleaching

well ok regardless - your bleaching your hair first which means no matter what type of colour you decide to use (permanent, semi, demi) it will stain the blonde. If you go with demi and you really like i t - then your going to have to do it again when it washes out (12-24 shampoo's) and if you go with permanent then your right, you are stuck with it if you end up hating it. On the bright side, red tends to fade regardless, so even if you do a permanent and hate it, it will be easy to throw another colour on top once it starts to fade (in about 2 weeks).

Should I use a permanent creme color or a demi-permanent color? I'm dying my hair red and I will be bleaching

Your damaging your hair!

Brown hair, wanting to turn red but can't find the right red!?

Okay, I have dark brown hair, but I reaaally want it to be a redish color.

I want it to be not too red, but not too brown. in between.

Sorry if that doesn't make sense. So if anyone knows any good sites where there's colors like that, please give them to me!! I need some ideas!!

Brown hair, wanting to turn red but can't find the right red!?

Be careful of coloring hair. I also wanted to go red, but the coloring really damaged my hair. Go for a very subdued Auburn color. Look at fashion magazines for the right color. It doesn't matter who is wearing it: an Olsen twin, a 76-year-old lady, a dude. Bring that picture to your hair stylist, and they will color it the way you want. Just be aware that red is very hard to get out of your hair! Three colorings later, in a vain effort to go back to brunette, I still have red undertones!

Brown hair, wanting to turn red but can't find the right red!?

MED TO LIGHT REDDIEST BROWN SHOULD BE WHAT YOUR LOOKING FOR.

How could i strip red dye from my brown hair?

i have naturally ash brown hair. i dye it red every 2 months. well, this month i bought a different brand of dye (stupidly) but it was the same color so i figured it would come out about the same and hopefully a little lighter. oh, it came out lighter all right! it is now bright bright red and almost pink....i don't know what to do. is there anyway i could strip it of at least some of this color without bleaching it blonde?? please help!

How could i strip red dye from my brown hair?

I have brown hair and putred and came out orange cuz i bought the wrong kind. wash your hair twice a day... and deep condition it since your washing out ur natural oils.. the color will fade.. in the mean time .. expirement dfferent styles with your hair to find ways u put ur hair up tht make the color look different

DO NOT EVERRRRRRRR TRY TO RE-DYE YOUR HAIR LIKE THESE OVER PEOPLE ARE SAYING!!!!!!!!!. red is the hardest color toget out!! AND IF YOU DYE YOUR HAIR WITHIN 6 WEEKS OF DYING IT BEFORE YOU CAN RUIN UR HAIR AND MAKE IT FALL OUT.DO NOT RE-DYE IT YET. WAIT A MONTH OR SO. DYE IT CLOSE TO YOUR NATURAL COLOR AND THEN GO RED.

How could i strip red dye from my brown hair?

well u could just go darker

How could i strip red dye from my brown hair?

Buy a haircolor similar to you natural hair color, dye it that over the red, and leave it alone for a while

How could i strip red dye from my brown hair?

Try using a purifying shampoo. Most salon lines have one. I know Redken, AG and Lanza have one for sure. It strips your hair of gunk (ie. styling product buildup, chlorine, any other kind of buildup). You're only suppose to use it once in a while or whenever your hair feels gross (because if your hair is color treated it can strip it) but since your actually trying to strip color out then use it like crazy (might make your scalp a little dry though, just because you're purposely using it often - use a good conditioner after). But if you really hate it you might want to go to a hairdresser to see if they can fix it.

Dont re-dye it. Box dye is the hardest to fix and it also causes the most problems when it comes to fixing it with another box dye. And also red is NOT the hardest color to get out, it's just the one that causes the most problems when it comes to re-dying with another color, especially with box dye. It can screw around with other colors and make them turn out totally different. Red actually fades the fastest, because red dye has a different composition then regular colors. Wait until it's almost all out before you re-dye it because once you start layering too many colors, it can actually change how the color you usually use turns out (could go darker or lighter).

Dying my hair without the red color coming through.?

I used to bleach blonde my hair in high school then after that for four years I decided to go brunette, the only problem is I can never achieve the color I want because some"red" always comes out and makes my hair auburn. I just want to be able to dye my hair and it stay a nice chocolate brown without turning to auburn red or even mahogany. Any suggestions on what to tell my salon or what I can use to end these results??

Thanks!

Dying my hair without the red color coming through.?

get an ash base color then u won't have red u are choosing shades with a red or violet base that is why u keep coming up with red in ur hair

Dying my hair without the red color coming through.?

make sure the base color is not violet or any type of reds..try it with blue base color. it should say it in the box or bottle.

Dying my hair without the red color coming through.?

An Ash toner will correct the red

Dying my hair without the red color coming through.?

ash will counteract the red, but will not give you "chocolate brown" so use ash now to correct your hair color, but in the future, use neutral to get your desired results.

Dying my hair without the red color coming through.?

Yes..use an "ash" colored base

Dying my hair without the red color coming through.?

What ACTUALLY is your level and tone? Not to get caught up on terminology, but "Chocolate" brown IS a warm tone. Usually the underlying tone is gold. If the unwanted warmth is seen immediately it is the formulation and processing that is off. If it showing up later it is aftercare and possibly developers. What type of product is being used? How is it processed? If you want a true level 5 with no warmth, I can suggest a Wella Kolestan color. They offer a true, cool brown on that level of darkness. Make sure your colorist is properly coloring your regrowth and your mid-ends. If you have grey or are lightening to this level the regrowth can be done with a permanent color, otherwise only a semi-perm is needed. The mid-ends should always be touched up with a semi-perm. Do not shampoo your hair again once color is removed for 24-28 hours. Use only color safe or cool toned, brown shampoo. Try Artec color depositing shampoo, start alternating it in after the color starts to lighten. Limit time in sun and tanning beds. Best of luck.

If i have brunette hair and i get red ends will it look good?

I have brunette hair with some highlights would red ends look good?

If i have brunette hair and i get red ends will it look good?

Yeah definitely I have a friend who has that in her hair and it looks really good.

If i have brunette hair and i get red ends will it look good?

yes very cute

If i have brunette hair and i get red ends will it look good?

How can I get red tones out of my hair?

I have been attempting to grow my hair out for a couple months now, but the red tones (not present in my natural hair color) will not fade and simply drive me crazy. I recently used a green based Dark Ash Blonde (close to my natural) to help cancel out the red tones, but now a week later THEY are back and driving me insane. It isn't even a pretty red I could work with, it is an orange-ish cooper red. I do not want to dye my hair again, as I am attempting to grow my natural hair color out, and actually I've cut off most of my hair to do so...think Mariska Hargitay in some of the SVU episodes of Law and Order, that's how short my hair is....

Anyway...any tips on getting rid of this red without dying/frying/mutilating my hair a great deal...would be a blessing.

How can I get red tones out of my hair?

I know you don't want to color your hair again but the problem might be that you're doing it yourself. salons use better color that doesn't fade like that. I use pureology shampoo and it really keeps color from fading for a long long time- but it can run $20 a bottle. it's worth it though. you're right to use green/ash to offset the red tones but I think the color you buy at the store isn't as good as salons. if you get your hair colored again, ask for a semi permanent, as it grows out it fades out but if you use a good shampoo it shouldn't fade to that gross red. I have the same problem with my hair color. also don't wash it every day, try every other day.

I want the red dye gone & the natural back into my hair?

I've been dying my hair different shades of red for about 5 or 6 years. But now I'm tired of reds %26amp; I've tried coloring it with other permanent dyes, but when they fade away the red is still shining bright %26amp; I end up with red again. I would like to get my natural color back (I've even dyed it that color). I'm naturally sort of a light ash brown. With "ash" in the name of the color I thought it would help cancel the red, but it soon faded back to red. I really would like to get back to my natural color without having to go to a professional. I can't really afford to have whatever I do cost much more than dyeing my hair another color. Please HELP!!! I'm tired of being a redhead!!!

I want the red dye gone %26amp; the natural back into my hair?

Dye it a deep, dark brown. That is far more likely to cancel out the red.

I want the red dye gone %26amp; the natural back into my hair?

i've tried it too,, nothing worked 4 me, im just waiting 4 it to grow out

I want the red dye gone %26amp; the natural back into my hair?

sorry to tell you this but Red is the hardest color to get out of your hair. i dyed mine red a while back and i have colored it blonde over that 3 times and you can still see red streaks in places. its gonna be a hard, long, and most likely expensive process to get it done right and healthy for your hair. whatever you do please please PLEASE dont use box dye. that is leftover and expired dye from the actual salons and manufacturers which is why they can sell it so cheap. it seriously will ruin your hair. go to a professional. if you want it a different color try maybe going to a darker brown, you will probably still see some red but it wont be as noticable.

I want the red dye gone %26amp; the natural back into my hair?

To cancel out golden and red tones dye it a ash color..but your best bet would be to seek a professional stylist

I want the red dye gone %26amp; the natural back into my hair?

Red is the hardest to get out, but possible. What cancels red is blue, not ash. But don't do it yourself, results might be funny. I changed from Burgundy to Platinum Blonde but that was quite an adventure! Including orange hair.

The only effective way is - sorry - bleaching, and then you can put any color you want. But that is really damaging.

Go to a professional - it ends up being cheaper and easier this way.

Whatever you buy at drugstores might turn your hair funny shade of green, if you try to do it yourself. Because when you put one chemicals on top of the other you don't really know what you're doing.

I want the red dye gone %26amp; the natural back into my hair?

When I wanted to get the red out of my hair I just dyed it back to black with black hair dye and never had ny problems. But if it doesn't work for you get your hair stripped then dye it black. Good luck with it!

How can i dye my black hair to a dark red?

my hair color is black and i have short hair, i just want the left side of my hair to be streaks of red or all around my hair, i haven't decided yet , so how can i make my hair have streaks like this guys hair? http://farm1.static.flickr.com/153/35335...

i just want mine a lil bit darker not as bright

How can i dye my black hair to a dark red?

No you have to have that professionally done...first the color of your natural hair is removed with decolorizer, then You have to re-tint the prelightened hair,

How can i dye my black hair to a dark red?

you have to tip or foil it, id go to the hair dressers, you can buy kits to do hair tips, but your much better off paying dubble what a kit is and knowing its gunna be good

How can i dye my black hair to a dark red?

You have to bleach the portion of hair that you want to do first. It's easy to do chunky streaks and the like random ones. There are also caps for chunking that you can buy. Have someone that you trust do the bleaching and the red is the easy part. I recommend manic panic (try the new rock'n'roll red). I've used other stuff and it's hasn't been as easy or turned out as well.

I've done my hair a lot, so I'd be happy to give advice about it.

How can i dye my black hair to a dark red?

thats cute, but depending on if your hair is natural black or colored black.

If natural you will have to have it bleach foiled on that side. Than you would have to get the color you want to put on top of it

if its colored black, you will still have to bleach it, but definetley longer cause black is a nasty color to get through, lighten enough to where its a light orange. than add your color

I'm black and want to know how to begin the process to dye my hair red in the front only.My hai

make sure its a good brand i suggest you leave a streak of black at the front then do a streak of red or you can go to the hair dressers and get it done there

Rachel McAdams' hair color in the movie 'Red Eye'?

What is the exact color for her hair in the movie 'Red Eye'?

If you could find any pics from the movie, that would be great.

I can find any, just the movie poster which doesn't even show her face and blurry screen shots. Thanks%26lt;3

Putting Hena on my hair to bring it into red!?

i have a long hair, dark brown, i want to put Hena on it, i am not sure for how long to keep it on my hair to get the red color.

also could you tell me what to use when mixing it? e.g tea? oil? egg?...etc

one last thing, do you recommend hena which is sold by the Body shop?

Putting Hena on my hair to bring it into red!?

I used to leave mine on overnight. You should leave it on for at least 3 hours. You need something acidic to add to the henna for dye release like vinegar or lemon juice, along with water. I can't recommend TBS henna because i haven't tried it. I like LUSH's henna

How should I color my hair black and bright red?

no do black hair and bright red highlights tht would be tight

How do ii make my hair a nice bright red???

im african-american, so my hair is a really dark brown, almost black. ii want to put an orang-ish/burrgundy color around the perimeter of my hair so when i wear it hanging straight down, the red is on the inside and my real color is on the out.....but ii just cant seem to find a color that urns my hair that color!!! ii mean, ii found the colors ii wanna mix up, but my aunt [a hair dresser]] said no matter what colors ii use, it'll always turn a deep burgundy. im trying rinses right now befor ii color it, but all of them are lookin the same color as my hair!

which brand do you think ii should use, or where do you suppose ii should look?

[%26amp;%26amp; 2 all the jerkified idiots who read the question %26amp;%26amp; answer with "idk," or "i dont know". this is for people who do know, DERRR!!!!!

How do ii make my hair a nice bright red???

The only way i think u can do it is if u buy hair peroxide (hair bleach) my friend is African American and she had the same problem too she wanted the bottom of her hair real red and the top her natural (Pure Black) so the only way we did it ways to separate the hair we wanted to dye and bleach it blond with peroxide once it turned blond real fast we rinsed it, waited for it to dry naturally and then apply the red that we bought from the super markets followed by the conditioner supplied.

Peroxide (hair bleach) - you can buy it from the drug store, hair and beauty shops (like what we did at priceline but we're in Australia) . Just ask around it's not that hard to find.

NOTE* Peroxide has best results in lighting the darkest hair to blond and by that whatever color u apply on top will have the results of that color because anything goes on Blond or a real light brown that the Peroxide achieves.

BE AWARE* that Peroxide does damage Ur hair because it's chemicals are harsh so use hair treatment to nourish just ask the ur Aunt for the best treatment or use any that moisturizes hair since it drys it out a little and it should be fine.

GOOD LUCK! (sorry for the long story lol)

How do ii make my hair a nice bright red???

dye ur hair

pretty much all kinds work id try the 1 u think would be da best! :)

How do ii make my hair a nice bright red???

Hm, I know this sounds crazy girl but usually when people try to get those really bright colors they usually dye their hair bleach blonde before using the actually color...and I don't know if you want to do that BUT it's just a solution..good luck =), hope I helped.

How do ii make my hair a nice bright red???

Bleach it first. It's the only way to get a drastic change in your hair color.

How do ii make my hair a nice bright red???

like another girl

How do ii make my hair a nice bright red???

You 'll have to bleach it if its so dark that you cant see the red after dyeing it, then after u bleach it, dy it red, very simple

How do ii make my hair a nice bright red???

Even though your aunt is a professional hair dresser you should probably have it done professionally at another salon. A few people mention bleaching it first and thats probably what you'll have to do then add color on top of that. Home hair color can be tricky for anyone no matter what their hair color or texture is.

How do ii make my hair a nice bright red???

Rinses are like colored saran wrap or colored glasses, they can't make your hair lighter or darker, just tint it another color. So, if your hair is starting out dark, the hair's going to stay dark. For the orangish/burgundy color you're interested in, you'd have to actually lift the color going the permanent hair dye route. No temporary dye or semi-permanent dye will be able to help you out with that by itself.

How do ii make my hair a nice bright red???

Here's what to do. Go to a beauty supply store and pick up a booster its in a little pack it should be about a dollar. Then get a lightner then get the color you want. First mix the booster pack in the lightner bottle shake up then apply to hair, make sure your lightner be number 20 or 40 but 40 is too much depending on how light you want your hair, but anyway apply them first then rinse your hair out then apply your color wait about 20 minutes you should receive results but when you apply the booster and lightner please hurry and put it in your hair after you see the blond then rinse out then color. tell how you did.

Why does my hair have a orangish red tint?

hi, rabbit lover!

i was just wondering, since i have the same problem with my hair... have you found the answer for that annoying reddish glow?

Good luck!
