umm...i used Feria for a long time and had great results. it seems to be one of the better brands for DIY red colors because it doesn't fade nearly as quick.

i DO NOT recommend loreal Preference or excellence cream in any red tone. It FADES WAY TOO QUICKLY. also, don't ever use nice 'n easy.

I've had very pleasing results from Revlon Colorsilk. it delivers color evenly and richly, comparable to Feria. I've been using it for over a year now and am loving it! The only reason i tried it in the first place was because i like a color in their line. Just be sure that you buy enough product to cover all of your hair!

L'Oreal Superior Preference is the best, I've used it to dye my hair red for a long time %26amp; get compliments on the "natural" color. They have some shades that work well that go beyond natural too if that is what you're looking for.

I've had great success in the past with Loreal products, however, to be safe, the best thing to do is see a beautician.

I think it would depend on your original hair coloring. If your hair is lighter than the red, then just get a 'wash-out' color and test different shades to see which you like better.

If your original hair coloring is darker than the red, I would definitely have a professional do it.

What ever you do , your going to do it, just be careful and don't end up with some 'permanent weird hair color' that will cost you more at the Salon to have them correct it.

Again, if you are determined to 'do it yourself' get as product that is semi-permanent so if you botch the job, the color will come out after several washings. Always better to err on the side of caution when it comes to your own hair.

loreal feria is good. but also whats good is colorsilk. i know colorsilk is a cheap brand but it works good. that is what i use. the color lasts a long time... also what is good is garindear fuits (sorry dont know how to spell) is good. try chocolate peanut butter by them. its more of a dark brownish red. but in the sun the dark red is beautiful. i have people stop me and say how pretty it is. that is what i am wearing now.

it depends on the color of your hair to begin with, nyn is naturally dark mahogany red, i wanted to try a new red for a rock concert i was going to so i tryed feria, it was so red it glowed,now i just use loreal expertise and i get the color i like with the sun kissed highlights i like.
