Hair colour to downplay red skin?

I have extremely red skin and dirty blonde hair. I want to re-colour my hair and I want something that will take away some of the redness in my skin. I am fairy pale and my eyebrows are a medium to dark brown.

Thanks!

I'm a hairdresser and personally I would recommend not going to blond or to dark because it will bring more attention to the red tones in the skin. I would go with a honey brown or a gold base color. I would also suggest caramel lowlights to give your hair more natural look (natural hair has more then one color in it) and make your skin appear less red.

Go with an ash color, either blonde or brown.

You could dye it light brown

Shouldn't you be asking your hair stylist instead?

darken your hair... I bleached the hair hair around my face once (like rouge) and it made my blushing cheeks look so much worse.

The yellow in your hair amplifies the red so go towards your darker colours and minimize all reds, coppers, and yellows.

I read an article recently in womens health, your perfect hair color is never more than a shade lighter or darker than your eyebrows. I would go chocolate brown with golden highlights, get it done professionally with an all over thin highlight so that it blends into the hair color.

If your skin is really red you may want to go to a dermatologist, you might have rosecea and that can be cleared up with medication.

dye it green and either go goth or become a christmas elf!
