I want a light bright shade, I was even thinking of pink! I've had pink streaks before, but all over pink, what do you think?

buy the color you want and do a strand test (this involves cutting a little chuck of hair and testing the dye on it before you dye your whole head of hair. it will tell you how in the instructions, its different for every dye)

if the strand test turns out to be the color you want, then there you go! go ahead and dye it!! (once again, be sure to read the directions.) if it turns out too dark, then do ahead and bleach it and then do another strand test to be sure that you will get your desired color.

if you absolutely hate the results, wait a day or two before re-dyeing to your natural color (or a different one)(if you re-dye too soon, it will just be worse!!) this is why i would suggest a non permanent color because other wise you are stuck with it!! if the dye you choose is non-permanent, just wash wash wash and it will slowly but surely fade out.

just remember that bleaching your hair is permanent!! theres no turning back!!

PS - L'Oreal Color Pulse is a great temporary hair dye with lots of funky, different colors. i dont think they have pink though, sorry

Bleach it first, or you'll end up with a dark red color.

I must warn you though, the red color won't stay in forever. It will fade out. I did the same thing and not only did it turn out way brighter than the color on the box, but it faded out very quickly.

if your trying to get a job, or already have one, you might concider what is allowed and what is not. you wouldn't want to dye you hair, then have to dye it again

Well, i'm not sure how to dye it pink. But what I did when I went from dark brown to red is I used a temporary dye, but it still had a dramatic difference. I used Loreal Color Pulse. It works.

No bleach, use a lighter red tone

Pink - you can use manic panic. Red - just buy a blonde hair color and it will change your hair red. Look on the side of the box for shade variations.
